Holiday in the Dordogne or in the Lot, near Sarlat and Rocamadour

Our B&B is genuinely ideally situated to discover and explore both the Dordogne and the Lot. Indeed, many of the most prestigious sites of the Périgord and of the Quercy are within 20 miles of our house, and Gourdon itself, half way between Sarlat and Rocamadour, is worth a stop-over!

Some would probably argue that we are being chauvinistic when we say  we are so lucky to be living in what is problably one of the most beautiful areas in France, but we truly think we are extremely privileged to be living here, and that's why we will be very happy to share  with you our love for this area, and, if you wish, to help you plan your stay and visits so you don't miss the most magic places!

The Dordogne and Périgord to the West with places not to be missed such as Sarlat, Domme, Beynac or La Roque-Gageac, the Lot and Quercy to the East and South with Rocamadour, the Padirac Caves, lots of quaint little villages, Cahors and its famous vineyards and many more.

The area offers both cultural and architectural sites and beautiful landscapes from the green valleys of the Dordogne to the wild, rocky cliffs of the Quercy. There are also lots of parks, gardens, castles, manors, museums, churches and various activities, sports amenities, hiking trails, kayacking, or cliff climbing, not to mention the wine and world famous gastronomy to please all ages.

N.B. The Camino de Santiago de Compostela (GR 652 from Rocamadour to La Romieu, an alternative route to the GR 65, is at the end of our road, just over half a mile from our house), so pick ups can easily be arranged for tired pilgrims and hikers: give us a call and we'll  be there with the car within minutes!
